Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Not all National Trust properties are open yet, and those that are require pre-booking via their website, no later than 15:00 on the day prior to visit.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Bibury

This Gloucestershire beauty spot is a great place to visit whatever you're looking for. For a bit of history, take a stroll down the picturesque Arlington Row. These cottages were built in 1380 as a monastic wool store and converted into weavers' cottages in the 17th century. If it's wildlife you're after then head opposite to The Rack Isle, so called because it used to be where wool was hung on racks to dry after it had been washed in Arlington Row. This water meadow now provides an important habitat for water-loving plants and birds; look out for water voles, marsh orchid, flag iris, and marsh marigold.
